A Day at the Getty

Last summer we decided to go see the Getty Villa. It was beautiful and I learned, that Oil tycoon J. Paul Getty originally opened a gallery adjacent to his home in Pacific Palisades. Finding that he quickly ran out of room, he decided to open a second museum on the property in 1974,  the Getty Villa, his second museum is a building inspired by the Villa of the Papyri at Herculaneum .

We had a beautiful view down to the Pacific Ocean!

After the Getty we visited the beach. Malibu is just gorgeous and was one of our favorite spots while we were living in L.A.!
