A Hallway Makeover
There was a time, when our hallway had this boring-safe-grandma-beige color! What is more boring than this color?! It was just too much ‘Vanilla’ for my taste.
Turning a hallway into more than just a hallway is always a challenge, but just because it is a small space does not mean it should be ignored!
So, first thing, prime. I hate priming, always takes forever! But it took this boring color off the walls, so I was fine with priming! 2 coats of white and after 8 hours drying I added the blue stripe.
White hooks are from Anthropologie and the wooden hooks are branches from our garden. I drilled holes in them and screwed them to the wall. The adhesive chalkboard you can buy here.
My vintage bottles found a new place on the IKEA wall shelf. The two metal buckets are from the Dollar Store. I painted labels on them with chalk paint. Artwork are my illustrations and family photos. Frames are all from IKEA. The moose hook is a present from Mr.T and the burlap bag is from the Dollar Store and hand printed.
If I had more space in my entrance, I would totally put one of those there and this beautiful mirror {Sarah, are you willing to sell?;-)} and added some more beautiful hooks. Did you see this french style memo board- sigh!
Today is a beautiful day in ‘funkytime land’, hope you are enjoying yours too!
PS: Oh, did I mention, that the makeover was less than $100?

You are going to hate me for that, lol, but I painted them by hand;-)
