Spring On My Dining Table
Hello and good morning!
eporting from my dining room table:-) I can slowly see the snow melting here and I can’t wait to see the first green leaves! But this will probably still take a while. For now I am happy, that the sun is shining, which gave me the opportunity to make a nice springy tablescape and even take some pictures.
T a b l e s c a p i n g- did you know that you won’t find that word in the dictionary? Yet there’s hardly one woman alive who doesn’t know what it means!
Tablescaping is more than bringing out your best linens and plopping a flower arrangement in the center of the table. It’s creating an atmosphere for the meal that transports you to a special time or place.
The paper straws I ordered from Cupcake Social did finally arrive too!

Tablescaping allows you to express your creative side by adding a personal touch. This is often accomplished through the use of specialized themes. Themes are especially important when designing tablescapes. Themes can be based around a particular event, season, or hobby.
Wrapped doilies around the glass
Once you chose your theme, items relating to the theme should be collected and assembled to create a pleasing centerpiece or tabletop arrangement. Each item within a tablescape relates to the other elements around it. While the objects in tablescapes do not necessarily have to match perfectly, they should harmonize or complement each other. This achieves balance.
Empty glass jars used as vases
Vintage silver cutlery
Have you seen, what Vintage from Uruguay Life makes out of glass jars and doilies in only 15 minutes? And here, the most beautiful vintage tablescape!
I am out, my next post is all about easter Boutonnières!
A good day to you!
Cheers,
