Tinsel, Tassels & Tubes
When I bought a lot of flowers recently, I noticed the flower lady had put these transparent tubes with water at the end of the lilies, so they would not go bad. I was about to throw them away, but I thought “hmm, I might be able to do something with those…”.
2 weeks later, I found the perfect use for them. Do you know these tubes with a suction cup, you can plug them on windows or tiles or in your car, and people put a flower in them?
Well, I did not have a suction cup, so I took a wire instead.
You will need:
– Plastic Tubes for flowers
– Bakers Twine
– 2 small square cardboard pieces
Note: I just googled it, so the tubes are called ‘test tube vases’!
First we make the tassels:
Next thing, we will make a loop out of wire, attach it to the tube and hang it on the wall:
We attach the tassel to the tube, add water and a flower, and you are ready to hang it on the wall. You can attach a charm as well, I found some cute little wooden clogs, which looked great with the red & white bakers twine.
If you love tassels, at Tatertots & Jello is another great Burlap Tassel DIY! Do you like to go out and rock the dance floor? You will be the queen of the night with one of those!
