French Toast Stars

May 23, 2011 |  by  |  Blog, Food for the Soul, Holidays

What a great day today! I read the feature of Cindy from Skip to my Lou on Apartment Therapy and stumbled upon this:

This made my day! Thank you so much Cindy! Anyone in the Big Blogging World doesn’t know her blog Skip to my Lou? Head over now and link up for Made by You Monday!

Then I had my favorite breakfast dish: French Toast

This time I played around….took a cookie cutter and made French Toast Stars. Great idea for Christmas too! [ 11/16/2011 I guess Sweet Paul thought the same, publishing this in his Holiday Issue (p.10) :-) ]

Have you ever heard of French Toast Kebabs? Go here for the recipe…

Or French Toast Muffins? That was new to me, but they look delicious! And boozy baked French Toast at the Smitten Kitchen.

Hungry now?!

Have a good day!

  1. Fun! I do this for my daughter (also named Sybilla, but with an a obviously ;o) with her peanut butter sammiches. I use a flower cookie cutter and she calls them flower squishes! I never even thought to use it on French toast. I will definitely be doing that. Love your blog BTW!

  2. My mom gave me all of the old metal cookie cutters we used when I was little. You inspired me to use the heart the next time I make egg in a nest. I usually use a jar to cut the hole for the egg.

  3. I love the blue/green plate. Great idea with the cookie cutter.
