We visited an apple cider farm last weekend, it was great (but also very cold). They grow apples you can pick and take home, you can taste their ciders & buy fresh veggies. They also have a pumpkin field and grow indian corn. We jumped into the corn field (that somehow reminded me of my childhood) and filled our pockets and backpacks with corn. Awesome!
I decided to make a fall garland, using the indian corn and the following:
I used burlap, I thought it would give it a more rustic feel. You could also bend the corn husks into loops and hot-glue the pointed ends together.
The corn gets pretty heavy, so make sure you screw some hooks in the wall (those tiny pins won’t do it!)
There is actually more you can make out of indian corn. Ariana shows you, how to make a necklace!
Here is a recipe for indian corn cupcakes- beautiful!
A sunburst wreath for your door…
An indian corn candle/center piece…
A happy thursday!
I believe anything good is worth giving away – that includes ideas, art, beauty, design – I believe it should be shared. I believe art and creativity should be generous.
